Serious Comedy: Discussion and Performance of Three Classic Tales by Boccaccio
Sponsored by the Political Theory Colloquium and the JCU Departments of History and Humanities, Political Science and International Affairs, and Modern Languages and Literature. A discussion of the first three tales of Boccaccio's classic work The Decameron, followed by a theatrical performance of the same tales (in Italian, with English summary), will be held in Rome, at J. Cabot University.
Speaker: Prof. Nathan Tarcov, University of Chicago, on the themes of the divine, the law, and nature in the Decameron.
